The Problem: A man with cerebral palsy had difficulty ambulating using standardwalkers. Required a customized adapted walker that he can easily stand inthe middle of, with a seat to allow him to stop and sit when necessary.
The Solution: The walker is fabricated out of structural aluminum. The walker's dimensions were specially designed for the user's weight, height, and space available in the house. Structural stability in all phases of use was analyzed. The walker has brakes, a seat, and a mailpouch.
Doners: Interex Systems (plaque), Henriette Brandts Buys (mail pouch), DuPont (paints), The HUB (wheels), FP Mechanics (spray painting), Earle Industries (brakes and wraps for handle), Cabot Autoglass (upholstering).
