THE PROBLEM: When progressing from a walker to forearm crutches, people find crutches very unstable.
THE SOLUTION: Like training wheels on a bike, this device assists in training individuals to learn to walk with forearm crutches in a controlled manner. Some of the details are as follows: a clamp attached to each crutch leg houses a 1/4" universal ratchet joint. These are attached to an adjustable frame. The frame consists of a 3/4" x 3/4" solid aluminum "L" shaped bar and a 3/4" (ID) "L" shaped aluminum tube. The two pieces telescope and lock using a 1/4" pin through adjustable holes.
