THE PROBLEM: Transfer disks have been used in the ease of moving wheelchair occupants for many years. The problem is that the height of the disk in relation to the vertical position is critical. The effectiveness of the disk is in direct relation with this proper height.
THE SOLUTION: The best way to determine the optimal vertical position of the transfer disk was to quickly and easily incerease/decrease this height at the Physiotherapists office and then have a permenant box built after. A series of 1" thick riser disks were made to stack and lock together to allow this determination.
