| THE PROBLEM: To allow a bed-ridden patient ,too weak to hold
a phone, to turn it on, punch the required number (in most cases "0" to reach
the hospital switchboard,where the operator would dial out or connect to
another room ) and then swing the phone to their ear.

| THE SOLUTION: See the photos above. The unit allowed an otherwise lonely nursing home patient access to patients in other rooms and her friends and relatives in the outside world. |
