THE PROBLEM: This child, a dwarf, with arm and leg length of approximately 8" was ready to toilet train but could not climb up to the seat unassisted.
THE SOLUTION: A set of portable stairs was built of 3/8" plywood designed to provide 3 equal height steps, the top step contoured to fit snugly with the front curve of the bowl. . A railing was made of 3/8" bar to fit her small hands as well as a toilet paper holder within her reach. The unit was on 2 casters at the back and a rubber friction strip at the front so that it stayed in place but could be easily removed from the toilet for other people's use.
