THE PROBLEM: To hold a book open in front of a reader, in a wheelchair, suffering weakness of the hands ( i.e. paralysis, arthritis, etc. ).
THE SOLUTION: The unit is made of two rectangles of plastic ( lexan ), about 14"X20" hinged at the bottom and adjusted to hight and angle with two knee joints. This adjustment is particularly important for folks with vision problems . The book support shelf, about 2" up from the bottom, is bonded but could be screwed in place from the back. Even heavy books can be managed with just a little use of one hand.
