THE PROBLEM: From a neurological disorder this gentleman lost the ability to naturally lift and support his head. He could lift it with his hand but that was tiring and made eating and speaking difficult.
THE SOLUTION: From forming plastic a mould of his back was made and that was lined with 3/8" foam. The support was held in place with 2" Velcro strapping. The upright rod is 3/8"x 2" lexan plastic for stiffness and the flexible (also padded) head band from 1/16"x 1 1/4" lexan. Also, as an alternate to the plastic head band, a bandana with a quick release hooked directly to the vertical support gave a comfortable fit and an added baseball gave it some style
