THE PROBLEM: Footplates leave marks and gouge the walls and woodwork of their environment.Square corners of footplates catch on commercial doors making exiting slow and awkward.
THE SOLUTION: Bolting a half-inch thick plate of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene plastic onto the underside of a footplate makes a bluntly rounded corner on the forward outboard corner preventing it from getting caught on doors.The plastic is durable, non-maring, non-gouging, and slippery.
